Assam to convert govt-run madrasas, Sankrit tols to schools

The Assam government is set to convert government-run madrasas and Sanskrit schools to high schools and higher secondary schools as the state cannot fund the religious institutions, Assam education minister Himanta Biswas Sarma said on Wednesday.
