Draft norms issued for assessing promotion, hike of school teachers

In a bid to attract talent and make the teaching profession more competitive, where salary hike and promotions will not be based on length of tenure or seniority, the education ministry has drafted a set of guidelines to assess the professional standards of school teachers.
