NCF 2023: No exam for classes up to 2, introduction of semester for class 12 recommended

Grade 10 students must complete 16 Essential Courses across two years from eight Curricular Areas without the need for semesters. Clearing 8 board exams is required at the end of Grade 10. Grades 11-12 will offer choice-based courses within the same Curricular Areas, and students must complete 16 of them to finish Grade 12.
