Heavy rains prompt closure of schools and colleges in Dakshina Kannada

Due to heavy rains and the risk of flooding and landslides, schools, colleges, and Anganwadi centres in Dakshina Kannada district, India, have been closed by the district administration. Online classes will be conducted to ensure students continue their studies. Safety remains the top priority.
